Get L.I.T.
At Baylor University, community is more than a word — it’s a lived experience. GET L.I.T. (Linking Intentionally Together) is one of the vibrant ways that experience comes to life.
GET L.I.T. is a dynamic, collaborative initiative that brings together four cornerstone communities within Multicultural Affairs: ACE (Asian Community Empowerment), Latinas Unidas, My Sister, MySelf, and M.I.S.T.E.R. (Males Inspiring Success Through Education and Relationships). Each group has its own rich identity and history, but through GET L.I.T., they unite to create something even more powerful — a welcoming, cross-cultural space where students build meaningful relationships across differences.
Designed as a high-energy monthly gathering, GET L.I.T. is intentionally crafted to feel both celebratory and safe. Yes, there’s free food (because community and good meals go hand in hand), but what truly sets GET L.I.T. apart is the atmosphere. Students come together not just to attend an event, but to belong.
At GET L.I.T., students:
Share victories — from landing internships to surviving midterms
Process challenges — academic pressures, identity development, navigating college life
Engage in honest dialogue across cultures and experiences
Build friendships that extend far beyond the event itself
GET L.I.T. represents something deeply reassuring: students will not have to navigate college alone. They will step into a campus community that is intentional about connection. They will find spaces where their voice matters. They will encounter peers and mentors who see them, affirm them, and walk alongside them.
More than a program, GET L.I.T. is a movement toward unity without uniformity — a place where students learn that their unique story strengthens the larger Baylor story. It reflects our commitment to cultivating leadership, fostering belonging, and encouraging students to show up authentically.
Through initiatives like GET L.I.T., students are choosing a community that links intentionally together — and shines brighter because of it.
