Student Associations

African Student Association

Purpose: To promote diversity cultural awareness and enhance the understanding of and sensitivity of different cultures on the Baylor campus.   

Black Student Union

Purpose: The mission of the Baylor University's Black Student Union (BSU) is to educate the University's community on the contributions of Black Americans; to assist, guide, and orient incoming students; to provide continual guidance for members of the organization; to improve relationships between all students; to provide a social and cultural outlet for its members; and to participate in the cultural, social, and athletic activities of Baylor University.

Filipino Student Association

Purpose: To promote the culture of the Philippines throughout the campus and to represent the Filipino community at Baylor. 

Hawai'i Club

Purpose: As the Hawai'i Club, we hope to educate others within Baylor and Waco about the vibrant cultures and traditions of the Hawaiian Islands, host activities and events that spread the spirit of aloha, and provide opportunities for students to build positive relationships and get involved as leaders. As more people from Hawai'i join the Baylor Family each year, we feel that we have the great opportunity and responsibility to share what our islands have to offer, while being a community that brings a little part of home to our Hawai'i-grown students at Baylor. We hope you’ll join our ‘ohana, no matter where you are from! Mahalo (thank you!)

Hispanic Student Association

Purpose: To foster an enriching experience of the Hispanic culture, heritage, and traditions in the Baylor and Waco communities while empowering and supporting students with their personal development, and advocating for a diverse and inclusive environment. 

Indian Subcontinent Student Association

Purpose: To promote understanding of Indian traditions and culture and the making of new friends with different backgrounds. To participate in various service, social, cultural, and intramural events throughout the year.

Japanese Student Association

Purpose: The goals of JSA are to immerse our members and the local community in Japanese Culture and to increase their exposure to Japanese language and customs.

Korean Student Association

Purpose: To provide a social organization and to promote an awareness and appreciation for the Korean culture through various services and social functions for the students attending Baylor University.

Vietnamese Student Association

Purpose: To promote Vietnamese culture to the student body at Baylor.
